The assembly plant CIAUTO, located in Ambato, received a visit from the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Ecuador, Sun Xiangyang, as part of the activities of China Business Executive Program 2026, an initiative that promotes business exchange and strengthening of commercial relations between both countries.
During the tour, the Ambassador gained firsthand knowledge of the manufacturing, innovation, and quality control processes that take place at CIAUTO, one of the most important assembly plants in the country and a benchmark for the Ecuadorian automotive industry.
The visit also included representatives from the Ecuadorian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, led by its president, Ms. Magaly Caicedo, as well as executives from Grupo Ambacar, led by its president, Mr. Vascones.

During his speech, Ambassador Sun Xiangyang highlighted that economic and commercial cooperation between China and Ecuador is experiencing a period of great dynamism, with growth opportunities for both countries. He also expressed his wish that programs like the China Business Executive Program continue to develop new leaders who strengthen the bilateral relationship.
The diplomat also acknowledged the work done by Grupo Ambacar in introducing and developing Chinese automotive brands in the Ecuadorian market, highlighting the impact they have had on the transformation of the sector.
