Thai ambassador's visit marks milestone for Great Wall Motors
On May 26, 2020, the smart plant of Great Wall Motors (GWM) in Hebei, China, received a high-profile visit from the Ambassador of Thailand in Beijing, H.E. Sr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, accompanied by his wife, Madame Kamoltip Srisamoot, and the Minister Counselor, Ms. Donlaporn Ajavavarakula, together with its official delegation.
The visit was received by senior executives of the following companies GWM, including the president Wei Jianjun, and vice presidents Liu Xiangshang, Meng Xiangjun and Zhang Jiaming. This strategic meeting reaffirms GWM's commitment to its internationalization process and to the development of the automotive market in Thailand.

Xushui plant: a model of advanced integration
During the visit, the Thai delegation toured the plant of Xushui, one of the most modern in China. This facility stands out for being one of the few that jointly integrates:
- Research and development (R&D)
- In-line production
- High-speed track vehicle testing
The delegation had the opportunity to take part in a professional driving test, where they evaluated the technology of piloted driving, one of GWM's main innovations. The Thai ambassador expressed his high appreciation for the experience and technology demonstrated.

After the tour of the plant, the visitors headed to the R&D Center at GWM, where they explored the latest technologies in smart connectivity and autonomous driving. The brands HAVAL, ORA and WEY reflect GWM's focus on intelligent mobility, safety and cutting-edge design.
In particular, the ambassador showed great interest in the specialized laboratories that strengthen the company's innovation capacity, including:
